What is an eSIM?

An eSIM is a digital SIM built into a compatible device. It connects to a mobile network without a physical SIM card and can be installed directly from the details supplied with your plan.

How do I check if my phone is compatible with eSIM?

Check your device settings for an option to add or manage an eSIM. You can also dial *#06#; if an EID appears, that is a strong indication that the device supports eSIM. Confirm your exact model on our compatible device page before purchasing.

Is my phone carrier-unlocked?

Your device must be carrier-unlocked to use a travel eSIM. On iPhone, open Settings > General > About and check Carrier Lock. “No SIM restrictions” means the iPhone is unlocked. For other devices, contact the seller or your mobile carrier.

Can I use my physical SIM and eSIM at the same time?

Yes. Most compatible phones support dual SIM mode, so you can keep your physical SIM active for calls and messages while using your AeriSIM plan for mobile data.

Can I keep my original phone number?

Yes. Set the travel eSIM as your mobile data line and keep your original SIM active for calls and SMS. Charges and availability for your original number still depend on your home carrier and roaming settings.

How do I receive my eSIM after purchase?

After checkout, your eSIM details and installation instructions are delivered to the email address used for the order. You can also check the order information available through My eSIMs. Keep these details private because they are linked to your plan.

Can I install the eSIM before departure?

Yes. Installing while you have stable Wi-Fi is usually the easiest option. Keep the travel eSIM turned off until you are ready to connect, and always check the activation policy on the product page because plan start conditions can vary.

When should I install my travel eSIM?

Install it a few hours before departure or after arrival while connected to reliable Wi-Fi. If you install it early, leave the eSIM disabled and keep data roaming off until you are ready to use the plan.

How do I install an eSIM with a QR code?

Connect to Wi-Fi, open your device’s mobile or cellular settings, choose Add eSIM, and scan the QR code supplied with your order. Wait for the profile to download, then give the plan a clear label such as “AeriSIM Travel”.

Can I enter the eSIM activation details manually?

Yes. In your device settings choose Add eSIM or Add SIM, select the manual entry option, and enter the SM-DP+ address and activation code supplied with your order.

Can I get eSIMs for multiple countries or regions?

Yes. AeriSIM offers destination and regional plans for different travel routes. Check each product page for its included countries, supported networks, data allowance and validity before purchasing.

How do I activate my travel eSIM?

Turn on the installed eSIM, enable data roaming for that line, and set it as the default mobile data line. Wait a few minutes for a signal. If it does not connect, follow the network selection and APN instructions supplied with the plan.

How is my eSIM validity calculated?

Validity commonly begins when the eSIM first connects to a supported network, but some plans can start on installation or use a fixed start date. The activation policy shown on the product page and order details is the rule for your plan.

Can I top up my eSIM?

Top-up availability depends on the specific plan. Check My eSIMs and your order details for available options. If a top-up is not offered, you can purchase another plan for the same destination.

Can I receive calls or SMS on a travel eSIM?

Most travel eSIMs are data-only unless calls or SMS are clearly included in the product description. On supported devices, you can keep your original SIM active for calls and messages while using AeriSIM for data.

Can I share data with other devices?

Many plans allow personal hotspot use, but this can depend on the product and local network. Check the product description, then enable Personal Hotspot or Mobile Hotspot in your device settings.

Can I transfer my AeriSIM eSIM to another device?

An installed eSIM is usually linked to the original device and cannot be transferred. Do not delete the profile while you still need it. Contact support before changing devices or removing the eSIM.

How do I check my eSIM data usage?

Review the usage information available in My eSIMs and in your phone’s cellular data settings. Some network partners may also provide usage notifications or a check method in the product instructions.

How do I set up APN on my phone?

APN settings are often applied automatically. If manual setup is required, enter the APN shown in your order instructions. On iPhone, look under Cellular Data Network. On Android, look under Mobile Network > Access Point Names.

How do I check the EID of my phone?

On iPhone, open Settings > General > About and scroll to EID. On Android, check About Phone, Status or SIM Status. You can also dial *#06# and look for an EID alongside the IMEI.

Why will my eSIM not connect to the network?

Confirm that you are in a covered destination, the correct eSIM is enabled, data roaming is on, and the eSIM is selected for mobile data. Check the APN and supported network list, try manual network selection, then restart the device.

How do I fix a “code is no longer valid” error?

The QR code may already have installed the profile. Check your SIM settings for a new eSIM, connect to stable Wi-Fi, and scan through Add eSIM instead of the camera app. If needed, restart the phone or use the manual activation details.

What do I do if I delete or lose my eSIM QR code?

Open My eSIMs or check your order email first. If the information is unavailable, contact support with your order number and purchasing email. Do not repeatedly scan or install the same code on different devices.

Why is my network speed slower than expected?

Speed can vary with location, signal strength, network congestion, device radio bands and the connected carrier. Move to an area with stronger reception, restart the device, or manually select another supported network.

Why does unlimited data slow down?

Some unlimited plans apply a Fair Usage Policy, reduce speed after a daily high-speed allowance, or include a stated speed cap. Check the product description for the exact speed and usage terms of your plan.

What if my eSIM is activated but there is no internet?

Make sure you are within the plan’s coverage area, data roaming is enabled, and the correct eSIM is selected for mobile data. Verify the APN, turn airplane mode on and off, and try a supported network manually.

What if my phone is stuck on “Activating”?

If you have not reached the destination, activation may wait for a supported network. Turn the eSIM off and enable it after arrival. If you are already there, check roaming, signal, APN and network selection, then restart your phone.

Can I get a refund for my eSIM?

Refund eligibility depends on the plan status and the conditions in our Refund Policy. Contact support with your order details before installing, using or deleting the eSIM so the team can review your case.

How do I contact the AeriSIM support team?

Use the Contact Us page to reach our support team. For faster troubleshooting, include your order number, purchasing email, destination, device model, screenshots of your eSIM settings and the exact error message.
